From the Archives – Victoria Lowe

Spalenka_Victoria Polaroid_1a

Another Polaroid of the beautiful Victoria Lowe (now Victoria Allen) late 1980’s, New York City, in my loft in Greenwich Village.

Usually I used this camera for reference but sometimes I would use the Polaroid for fun, artsy shots. The Polaroid was a maddening contraption because you never really knew what you were going to get. Every so often magic would happen as it did with Victoria. She has a pensive, almost haunted look here that I love.

See more of my Polaroids in The Art of Greg Spalenka: Visions from the Mind’s Eye to be released by Titan Books in July 2014, at the San Diego Comic Con.
