Spalenka @ the Denver Comic Con

Join me at the Denver Comic Con on Friday, June 13th, 2014 for two presentations!

Visions From the Mind’s Eye: The Art of Greg Spalenka
1:30 PM – Room 203

This presentation is a 45 minute time capsule of my art career. It highlights working for the major magazines, book publishers, and newspapers. I will talk about my projects with boxer Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard and others as my concept designer work for live action and CG animated films including The Golden Compass, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Ant Bully and Escape From Planet Earth and much more.

It is a lot to be compressed into 45 minutes. Is it possible? They will probably have to pull me from the stage.

Artist As Brand: Rise of the Artist Entrepreneur
5:15 PM – Room 203

This is a panel discussion on art career sustainability. Learn strategies on how to create an income from your talent on your own terms.

On the panel will be Jon Schindehette (Award-winning Creative Director for Wizards of the Coast, Treehouse Brand Stores, Founder of The ArtOrder community, mentor), Daniel Davis (Artist/Designer of Steam Crow, publishers of monster books, serigraphs, and other art products), David Rapoza (Illustrator, creator of Skull and Shark! Bethesda, Hasbro, Blizzard, Universal, Lionsgate, MTV, Riot Games), Michael C. Hayes (Award winning oil painter and illustrator, Magic the Gathering, Blizzard Entertainment, LucasArts and numerous book covers).

See you there!
